Mr. Bar-Kokhba w as born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1965. He is admitted in New York State and Federal Courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is fluent in Hebrew and French.
Mr. Bar-Kokhba joined Garbarini & Scher in 1997 and became a Member of the firm in 2003. He oversees the defense of the firm’s most complex matters. Mr. Bar-Kokhba handles matters involving hospital liability, commercial insurance coverage, employment law, medical malpractice, civil rights, constitutional law, products liability and intellectual property. He has successfully litigated cases before New York State and Federal Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court.
He advises major New York City Hospitals in risk management and is a frequent lecturer onEmployment Law at New York Medical College, School of Hospital Administration.
Mr. Bar-Kokhba’s reported cases include; Loewy v. Stuart Drug and Surgical Supply, et al., 1999 LEXIS1565 (S.D. N.Y.); Sita v. Danek Medical, Inc., 43 F. Supp. 2d, 245 (E.D.N.Y. 1999); Tokio Marine Fire Insurance Co. v. Insurance Company of North America, 693 N.Y.S.2d 520 (1 st Dep’t 1999).
